A complete 8-hour Transportation of Dangerous Goods Certification course is required to train employees that handle, prepare shipping papers, identify, offer for transportation any item that is considered hazardous when offered for transportation commerce either by highway, governed by the U.S. DOT, or if it is shipped by air, IATA Dangerous Goods Regulations, which also meets the ICAO Technical Instructions. These employees must be trained every two years to be current.
