$14.00

Awareness is the first step, and knowing the Actions to take when an attacker threatens or invades your workplace is important to know and understand. This course provides guidance to individuals, including managers and employees, so that they can prepare to respond to an active shooter situation. This is a basic foundational course.

The U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS) provides outreach training videos and these have been incorporated within the learning content. The aim is to enhance preparedness through a “whole community” approach by providing products, tools, and resources to help you prepare for and respond to an active shooter incident.

In this course, the learner will learn that awareness is the first step, what an active shooter event is, the physiological reactions that can occur during an active shooter event, planning, training, and preparation steps to survive an active shooter event.

You will learn:

  • Awareness
  • Response
  • Preparedness
  • Prevention
  • Follow-up
